Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: Northampton

Start Date: September 2026

Contract Type: Temporary-to-Permanent & Permanent Roles Available

Your Role

As an LSA, you will be the backbone of classroom support, ensuring that every student has the tools they need to succeed. Your daily impact will include:

  • Individual Support: Working 1-on-1 with students to overcome learning barriers.
  • Empowerment: Helping young people reach their full potential through tailored guidance.
  • Collaboration: Working alongside teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Inclusion: Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

  • Passion: A genuine desire to work with young people and witness the direct impact of your work.
  • Patience: The ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school or care setting is an advantage, but a proactive attitude is key.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
