Behaviour Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Thrapston Area | Alternative Provision

Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting young people who require a more tailored approach to education? We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision setting in the Thrapston area.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who may present with challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, or who have experienced barriers within mainstream education.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students
  • Support pupils using effective behaviour management strategies
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Assist in delivering personalised learning activities
  • Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
  • A background in education, youth work, care, or a related field
  • A calm, resilient and patient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
