Individual Needs Assistant – Full-Time Role (Primary) 
Location: Worthing Area 
Start Date: ASAP or September Start 
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term 

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a supportive and inclusive school environment? We are currently working with a vibrant primary school in the Worthing area, known for its strong community spirit and commitment to nurturing every child’s potential. This school is looking for a dedicated Individual Needs Assistant to join their team and provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning, emotional, or behavioural needs.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting children with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively 

  • Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviours 

  • Encouraging pupil engagement and boosting their confidence to participate in classroom activities 

  • Providing tailored support during lessons, breaks, and extra-curricular activities 

  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to track pupil progress and share feedback 

 What We’re Looking For: 

  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) or a relevant qualification (desirable) 

  • A patient, nurturing approach with the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with children 

  • Good communication and teamwork skills 

  • Enthusiasm for working in an inclusive, child-centred environment 

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
