Learning Support Assistant
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants in light of a number of requests a number of our key client secondary schools based in Wigan prior to the half-term.
We have both full and part-time positions opportunities for Learning Support Assistants, where our client schools wish to appoint dedicated members of staff who are able to support identified students within the school. The desired outcome of a Learning Support Assistant will be to ensure that high standards of welfare, learning, attendance and behaviour are achieved.

- Previous experience is preferred but not essential
Previous experience in an education based setting or working closely with students who are aged 11-16 is desirable. However, we also encourage applications from candidates considering a career in pastoral support or in teaching. The role of a Learning Support Assistant can be the perfect preparation if you are due to complete or submit an application for a teacher training course in the future.
Duties of a Learning Support Assistant will include supporting students through encouragement and motivation, liaising with teachers as to progress and general feedback and ensuring that the ethos of the school is promoted to allow the integration of all students.
Applicants interested in the role of a Learning Support Assistant will be role models to students within the school at all times and must set a good example in terms of conduct, dress and professionalism.
Applicants should be enthusiastic and dedicated in supporting students with general or specific identified needs and should have a strong desire to benefit the outcomes for these learners. It is also essential that applicants are able to build positive relationships with students in the age range of 11-16.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
