Join a warm and inclusive primary school in West End, Southampton as a Learning Support Assistant, where you’ll play a key role in supporting children’s learning and wellbeing every day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to pupils’ progress and wellbeing, working closely with teachers and support staff in an inclusive, supportive setting.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience supporting children within a primary school environment.
• A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with pupils.
• Confidence supporting children academically, socially, and emotionally, including those with additional learning needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with both pupils and colleagues.
• A reliable, punctual, and flexible attitude, able to adapt to the needs of the classroom.

About the role:

• Work closely with class teachers to support learning and development across the curriculum.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their learning goals.
• Assist with activities in literacy, numeracy, and personal development tailored to each child’s needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement, promoting an inclusive and respectful classroom culture.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and supportive school environment where every child can succeed.
