Learning Support Assistant
Location: Hedge End
Start Date: November 2025
Contract: Part-Time and Full-Time
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Hedge End. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting children in a primary school setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and approachable attitude.
- Ability to support pupils academically and socially, including those with additional learning needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to meet the needs of the classroom.
About the role:
- Work alongside class teachers to support pupils’ learning and development.
- Assist with classroom activities, group work, and 1:1 support where needed.
- Help pupils with literacy, numeracy, and social skills, tailored to their individual needs.
- Support positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policies.
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
