Salary: £90–£110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a fantastic mainstream secondary school in Wellingborough (NN8).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young people and supporting students to reach their full potential. The role will involve working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

You will be joining a welcoming and well-established support team, with a number of experienced Teaching Assistants already working within the school. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide effective support both 1:1 and in small groups.

The Role

• Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a mainstream secondary school.

• Provide 1:1 support to students with additional learning needs.

• Work with small groups of students to support their learning and progress.

• Assist students with accessing the mainstream curriculum.

• Support students both academically and with their social and emotional development.

• Help students develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.

• Work alongside teachers to adapt activities and provide appropriate support.

• Build positive and trusting relationships with students.

• Support positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.

• Work collaboratively with the school's wider SEN and pastoral teams.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.

• Has experience supporting, or a strong interest in supporting, students with SEN.

• Is confident working with young people across KS3 and KS4.

• Is patient, approachable and empathetic.

• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Can build positive relationships with students.

• Is able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.

• Is reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.

• A degree is highly desirable, alongside relevant experience and/or qualifications.
