Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit Support Staff for a well known school in the Washington area. The school enjoys a 'Good' Ofsted rating and is highly regarded throughout the South Tyneside area.

The job will include a variety of roles including supporting specific pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, working with specific classes and working with the Teacher and SENCO to identify pupils who may need extra support.

The Role

• Full time work starting ASAP until the end of the academic year, potentially longer pending funding
• Working 1-2-1 with pupils who need additional support in lessons
• Work with the Class Teacher to identify different methods to help the pupil
• Leading interventions with pupils where you complete the work assigned by the Teacher outside of the classroom
• Reading and scribing for pupils when they have assessments and exams

Whilst experience is not essential, a relevant qualification in education is, therefore we require the candidate to be a qualified Teaching Assistant at level 2 or higher (equivalents are accepted).
