Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Start Date: October 2025
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work across schools in Stockton-on-Tees, providing vital support to pupils with additional needs in the classroom.
The Role

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEND).

Assist class teachers in delivering learning activities and managing classroom behaviour.

Help pupils reach their full potential both academically and socially.

Encourage positive engagement, confidence, and independence among learners.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
-
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (desired but not essential).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with additional needs.
-
Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic school environment.
-
Ability to drive and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
