Teaching Personnel is a reputable education staffing agency dedicated to providing high-quality support staff to schools in Slough and the surrounding areas. We are committed to promoting inclusive education and supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to join our team. As an SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support to students with SEN, ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance they need to thrive in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of the student.
  • Assist with classroom activities and help students engage with the curriculum.
  • Monitor and track the progress of the student and report observations to the teacher and SENCO.
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement to students, helping to build their self-confidence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with the school's SEN team, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student's development.
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies for supporting them.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusive education.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
