Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to join our team. As an SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support to students with SEN, ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance they need to thrive in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
- Develop and implement tailored learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of the student.
- Assist with classroom activities and help students engage with the curriculum.
- Monitor and track the progress of the student and report observations to the teacher and SENCO.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to students, helping to build their self-confidence and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with the school's SEN team, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student's development.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies for supporting them.
- A commitment to promoting inclusive education.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
