Learning Support Assistant

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time / Part-time, Term-time only
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a further education college in Rotherham to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their inclusive and forward-thinking team.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of additional learning needs (including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH).

Assist learners in accessing the curriculum and developing study, social, and life skills.

Support teaching staff in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Help to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and monitor progress.

Encourage independence and promote confidence in learners across all areas of college life.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:

Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people.

Able to build positive and supportive relationships with students and staff.
-
Experienced in supporting learners with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
-
Confident in promoting positive behaviour and inclusive learning practices.
-
Flexible and proactive in adapting to the needs of individual students.
Relevant experience in education, youth work, or care is highly valued — however, full training and ongoing support are provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
