Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 (Paid to Scale)
Contract: Full-time or Part-time (Flexible Hours Available)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher with QTS who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEN needs

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to support individual learners

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Experience working with SEN pupils (desirable but not essential)

  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
