Learning Support Assistant
Location: Carmarthenshire
Hours: 8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday
Salary: £13.75 per hour
About The Role
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in mainstream and Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Welsh-Medium schools across Carmarthenshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people in their learning, development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, both in and out of the classroom
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN, behavioural, social, or emotional needs
- Help create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Follow school policies and work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals
About You
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children and young people
- Comfortable working in both mainstream and SEN school settings
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
- A willingness to learn and adapt to different educational environments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
