Experienced Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Location: Bournemouth, UK
A dynamic and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their team for September 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting the educational and personal development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the 11-16 age group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as necessary.
- Encourage student engagement and participation in school activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN, particularly within the 11-16 age range.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support.
- Experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
