 Learning Support Assistant – SEN Primary School (Basingstoke) 
Pay: £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming SEN primary school in Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and socially.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.

  • Help create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and personal development.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.

  • Experience working with children (SEN experience is desirable but not essential).

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.

  • The willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
