We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated Primary School based in Basingstoke to work on a full time, temporary basis with the view to go permanent for the right individual. 

Requirements:

• An enhanced child only DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
• Contact references covering the last 24 months and any schools worked at in the last 10 years.
• An up-to-date CV outlining career history.
• Proof of ID and two proofs of address.

The successful candidate will have:

• Recent successful experience as an LSA within a primary setting or working with children.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) grade C or above.
• Experience in or confidence to cover classes when necessary.
• A clear understanding of assessment for learning in order to feedback and respond effectively to pupil learning.
• Excellent positive behaviour management skills.
• A positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the role and the needs of the school.
• The skills to work independently and with initiative.   
• The ability to plan, evaluate pupils' progress and adapt lesson plans when necessary.
• Acute self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality
