Learning Mentor
Join a large vibrant secondary school in Manchester seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor on a full-time temporary basis from January.
The successful Learning Mentor will develop a positive rapport with underachieving students to help them do their best in their GCSE’s and catch up from the extended break in education due to Covid-19.
Other responsibilities of the role:
- Supervising and working with small groups of students during lesson times to improve their attainment.
- Supporting underachieving students on a one-to-one basis to improve on their English, Maths and Science.
- Liaising with the school SENCO and Head of Year to update them on students progress.
- To monitor and record the progress of all students.
- Acting as a positive role model and encouraging students to achieve their potential.
To apply for this position applicants must have a C or above in GCSE Maths, Science and English and will have experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
