Due to an expansion in their cohort, our client school are looking to support Year 7 transitions along with ensuring all students can fully access the curriculum and are supported during lessons cross-curricular throughout this academic year.
- Attractive daily pay rates (GBP60 - GBP75 per day dependant on experience)
- Full time position for full academic year (September 2021 – July 2022)
- Relevant experience prior to a teacher training programme
- Further opportunities for work for those who are available immediately
Our client school is a large north Manchester mixed secondary academy, which was formerly two single sex schools. The schools merged and moved into a purpose built site to ensure students from the local community could fully access education and benefit from excellent provisions for learning. Senior leaders have identified areas in which students can progress in education, and the school is looking for an enthusiastic learning mentor to join them as they continue to form a climate for learning in which students are encouraged to achieve and attain in all areas. The school currently meets the government’s floor standards which are the minimum expectancies for levels of progress and attainment.
As a learning mentor in our client school, you will benefit from the support of curriculum teams with experience ensuring students who are disengaged can progress in their studies along with being given responsibility for a small group of students tracking levels of progress and feeding this back to teaching staff.
The most desirable candidates will have a strong academic background and comfortable supporting schemes of work in English and Mathematics, along with the ability to quickly build rapport with students and motivate them to complete set work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
