Learning Coach, Barry
Full or Part Time
Role: Supporting pupils with Additional Needs on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
Pay: From £385/week
Start Date: 08/01/2024
**This role can be taken as Full Time (Mon – Fri) or Part Time (3 days/week) to fit your availability**
An inclusive Primary school in the Barry area are looking for a proactive Learning Coach to support pupils with Additional Needs. As a Learning Coach, your role is to develop a positive learning environment for the students you work with, assisting them with adapted schemes of work and working with them in the classroom as well as within any intervention sessions they require.
Your role will be an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support local students in Barry. Providing individual support for students with Additional Needs will ensure that they are able to access education in the best way for them, and lead to them not only enjoying school but thriving.

As a member of our Learning Support Team, you will be given access to a range of free and heavily subsidised CPD courses to enhance your skills, regardless of the level of knowledge you already have. You will be paid a minimum of £11.85 per hour. Our staff are also provided with a free Level 2 Safeguarding Course. As a bonus, if you refer any friend or family member across to us you can earn £50 (This is uncapped)!
What you will need:
- Enhanced DBS Certificate, with Update Service
- EWC Registration as a Learning Support Worker
- 2 x professional references
- Completed Level 2 CPD Safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
