There are currently multiple positions available for basic skills Tutors. These positions are commencing as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year. These roles will involve working on a 1:1 basis with pupils and supporting their in reaching expectations in English and Maths.
The tuition is for pupils who are being educated outside of Mainstream. They could be being educated outside of mainstream for a variety of reasons including: pregnancy, LAC pupils, SEMH needs or extreme challenging behaviour. In order to be considered for the role you need to be either be a Fully Qualified Teacher or have significant tutoring experience.
These role will involve building strong relationships with young people so you will need to have the appropriate skills needed to build effective working relationships with pupils. These role will involve working flexible hours which will generally be 5 days per week for 2 hours per day, however if you are seeking a full time role there is the option to take on additional referrals.
In order to be considered for the positions you will need:
- Fully Qualified Teacher Status or significant tutoring experience
- An in depth subject knowledge across GCSE subjects
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils
