Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Science graduates to support our partner schools in the Stockport area as lab technicians.

You be would be taking on a crucial role in some of the most well established schools in Stockport, including several rated “Good” and “Outstanding” by Ofsted. With full or part time hours available, as well as the possible future opportunity of a permanent school-based contract, there really has never been a better time for graduates to get into this sort of work.

Lab Technician:

  • Responsible for organising and delivering practical requirements necessary for delivery of Science lessons
  • Provide general and technical assistance to the Science department
  • Full or Part Time
  • GBP1160-GBP1400 per month
  • Immediate starts

Previous experience supporting within a school or working with children would be a bonus; however, it is not a necessity provided you have lab experience and a passion for education. Similar transferable experience in which you have supported young people, such as those who have worked as a Teaching Assistant or who have run Youth Clubs/ worked in Youth Work would also be advantageous, but above all, you should be confident, resilient and adaptable as every day will be different.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
