We are looking for a Lab Technician assistant to work within a school in well-respected school in Stratford East London

The Role

As a Lab technician assistant your main responsibilities include managing laboratories and ensuring that the right equipment, tools, chemicals, and other materials are adequately stocked and kept in working condition. It is essential that you have relevant experience to be able to set up practical lessons and move resources safely whilst respecting health and safety guidelines. Helping within the Science department, you will be helping the Science Teachers deliver and prepare engaging and relevant experiments.

They strive for all pupils to be happy and self-confident whilst supporting pupils to be well-informed and socially aware of the world around them.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a laboratory environment is desired, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventory effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to laboratory environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Passion for science and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and scientific advancements.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A relevant science qualification or degree is desirable, but not essential.
