Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Wickford

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths intervention sessions for Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs
  • Create individualised learning plans to support students' academic progress
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding and confidence in English and Maths
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
  • Ensure tuition align with UK curriculum

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in English and Maths
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in UK teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN interventions and strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational skills to track student progress effectively

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a learners home setting
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
