Role: KS2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Yate

Salary: GBP60-70 per day

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a dynamic, resourceful and caring individual to join a supportive team as a 1:1 teaching assistant.

As a teaching assistant at this brilliant school in Bradley Stoke you will be supporting a KS2 (Key Stage 2) child on a 1:1 basis, both in the classroom and outside of the classroom on activities tailored to the child’s needs. This role will predominantly involve supporting the child socially and emotionally helping them build confidence as well as academically supporting the child in order to help them achieve expected levels. Someone who is academically strong in maths and literacy is ideal as there needs to be the right support for the child.

As a teaching assistant you will be working closely with the class teacher; assisting in planning and adapting learning activities; liaising with parents, staff students and the SENCO.

The ideal candidate:

• Would have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Would have high expectations of behaviour and learning

• Has experience with special educational needs or SEMH (social, emotional and mental health issues)

• Be creative, resilient, engaging and energetic

• Will be willing to be a team player and join a vibrant learning environment

  • Can show initiative with the child’s learning plans in order to enhance the child’s learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
