KS2 Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about helping children succeed and thrive in their learning? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team at our Primary School.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with teaching staff to support the learning, development, and well-being of pupils across Key Stage 2. The role is perfect for someone who is positive, caring, and keen to make a real difference in children's lives.
Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Colne
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: October 2025
Closing Date: 31st August 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Work with individuals or small groups of children, including those with additional needs.
- Help to prepare and maintain a stimulating classroom environment.
- Support the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage high standards of achievement.
- Assist with administrative tasks and classroom organisation.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children in a primary school setting (KS2 experience preferred).
- Is patient, flexible, and nurturing in their approach.
- Works well as part of a team and shows initiative.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Holds a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or is willing to work towards one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
