KS2 Teacher – Thornton – January 2026 Start 

Location: Thornton, Lancashire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing
Daily Rate: £130 - £170 per day (dependent on experience and assignment)
AWR: After 12 weeks in post, you may be entitled to pay and conditions equivalent to those of a permanent employee

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Thornton, seeking a fully qualified KS2 teacher to join their team from January. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to make a real impact in a supportive environment.

About the Role:

  • Full-time teaching position in Key Stage 2
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to whole-school development

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Have experience teaching in KS2
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Be passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
