A specialist school near Great Yarmouth are seeking an experienced Special Needs Teacher or Primary Teacher (with SEN experience), to take a class of Year 5 pupils.

The well-established specialist school caters for pupils with complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and profound and multiple learning difficulties. The age range is from 5 to 19 years. Fantastic facilities across the school include top of the range interactive whiteboards, computers, masses of outdoor spaces and recently refurbished sensory rooms/areas. This is an excellent ‘foot in the door’ opportunity, via Teaching Personnel, to potentially gain a temporary to permanent contract. Please note, this role is not immediately permanent but is full-time.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication, behaviour management skills and good knowledge of the national primary curriculum. A proven track record of raising attainment and making progress with Special Educational Needs students is desirable, but not essential. As well as the pupils, you should also be keen to learn new styles and methods of teaching. The school provides regular training and CPD for its staff, offering great opportunity for career progression.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
