The Headteacher and governing body of a larger than average Primary School in Blackpool are on the look out for a Newly Qualified Teacher to join their Lower Key Stage 2 Team from September 2020. The year group is yet to be confirmed and the school will match the skill-set of the candidate.

The successful applicant will have the full support of an NQT Mentor and will be supported through their NQT induction period. There will also be the opportunity to network regularly with NQT’s from local schools across the Fylde whilst attending regular CPD sessions organised by the school. The role will be covering a planned absence and will continue until April 2021 at a minimum. Many schools in Blackpool serve a mixed catchment area and this school is no different. Excellent behaviour management is essential as to uphold the schools robust behaviour policy and maintain high standards. Teachers and support staff establish a fun and exciting environment whilst still safe, purposeful and stimulating for pupils, rooted in mutual respect and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly embedding the school behaviour policy.  Pupils in school are eager to learn and Teacher are well equipped with excellent resources; as the school boasts state of the art facilities.

The Headteacher is looking for a practitioner with a genuine passion for teaching and someone who can contribute new and fresh ideas to the school. You must have completed a placement within a KS2 class and hold GOOD-EXCELLENT references from your placements. In addition, the Headteacher has requested that applicants provide details of two referees from two placement schools – this could be from either a mentor or Headteacher. This is a full time class teaching role (Y3 or Y4) and will begin in September 2020.
