Teaching Assistants Wanted – KS1 General Support – Shildon
Are you passionate about helping young children thrive? Do you want to make a real difference in a KS1 classroom? We’re looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join fantastic primary schools in Shildon to support Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
What you’ll be doing:

Assisting teachers with delivering lessons and supporting small groups

Helping children develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction

Supporting pupils with additional needs and promoting positive behaviour

Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

A genuine love for working with young children

Patience, reliability, and excellent communication skills

Previous experience or willingness to learn in a classroom setting (no formal qualification required)

Ability to work flexibly as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
