LONG TERM - FULL-TIME CONTRACT

A friendly and successful 2-form entry primary school located in Wakefield WF9 are currently seeking a Class 1 Teaching Assistant to join the team in a GOOD graded primary school. The successful Teaching Assistant will be required to start this exciting new role after the Easter half term 2021 until the end of the academic year with the potential to go permeant.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be required to support the class teacher across the National Curriculum and must have excellent behavior management and sound subject knowledge. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the subject through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT.

Pay rates – Up to GBP90 per day (depending on experience)

In order to apply for this role, you must have the following:

  • Experience as a TA
  • Has worked with KS1 aged children
  • Used to taking small groups
  • Be available to work as soon as the children return to school
  • Reference information for the last six years
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable daily

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting children push their attainment to the next level
  • Being creative and using innovation to enhance the learning experience of all pupils
  • Assessing progress and maintaining discipline
