KS1 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Wakefield (WF2) who are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis starting from March 2021.

The Primary school hope to find a dedicated and talented KS1 class teaching assistant who has an innovative, forward thinking teaching style. You will be expected to inspire the children alongside managing their behaviour in and out of the classroom.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will be working with SEN students as well as helping out around the classroom and aiding the class teacher with daily tasks - this is the perfect opportunity to gain school experience before progressing on to teacher training / further education!

Pay rate – up to GBP90 per day (depending on experience)

This full-time role will be due to start from March 01st 2021 (When the children return to school)

Hours: Full: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Location – Wakefield (WF2) – West Yorkshire (WF2)

ESSENTIAL criteria

  • Evidence of experience, skills & knowledge of working with SEN pupils.
  • Have had experience working in a primary setting
  • Good behaviour management skills.
  • experience & ability to plan/deliver suitable learning activities. Desirable attributes:

  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Be an effective communicator.

This is a temporary position, however there is an opportunity to be taken on permanently depending on how well the candidate performs and how well the teaching assistant builds relationships with the pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
