Teaching Personnel is working alongside an 'outstanding' primary school in Nottinghamshire, to appoint a fantastic TA to work across their Key Stage 1 department. The role is to start in April after the Easter holidays For the right TA, this role will last for the rest of the academic year with an option to continue on a school based contract. The Nottinghamshire school are looking for a TA who can work in both year 1 and 2, therefore experience in KS1 is essential and you need to be confident in both year groups.

This average sized primary school has outstanding teachers and TA's, who are knowledgeable and committed. They are very supportive to new staff member, ensuring they settle in at school. The curriculum is broad and exciting and allows children to blossom in their learning experiences. The children are known for their happy and confident attitudes as well as the excellent behaviour.. The expectations for the students and the teachers are high, which is why the students make excellent progress across both key stages. This Nottinghamshire primary school is very inclusive and has a very stimulating learning environment which encourages all pupils to do well.

The students use 'letters and sounds' phonics in Key Stage one, so experience with this would be a benefit. The successful TA will be required to help with phonics sessions for the children.

Due to the outstanding progress the students make, and the outstanding behaviour, the school is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic teaching assistant who can help to maintain this. The support for the staff is incredible and very welcoming and there is room for real progression within this school. They need someone who is going to create a good relationship with both the students and the staff.

The role will be to work with pupils on a 1-1 basis or in small groups within a class and will need to be available on a full time basis. They may be expected to help with interventions and booster classes.
