Role: KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Stanley
Start Date: September 2021
Teaching Personnel are working with a ‘Good’ single-form Primary School in Stanley who are looking for an experienced KS1 teaching assistant to work within their Y1 class on a full time basis. This role will also entail supporting a pupil with autism 2-3 days a week in the Y2 class, experience working with SEN pupils would be required for this role.
The leadership school have maintained a good quality of education in school through quality educators and continually improving on each Ofsted inspection. The proportions of pupils receiving reaching their expected level is lower than the national average, so a Teaching Assistant with experience with intervention and booster sessions particularly in Reading and Writing would be advantageous.
Role requirements & Responsibilities:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experienced working within KS1
- Recent experience working 1-2-1 with an autistic pupil, or relevant SEN experience
- Must have experience running interventions for writing and reading
- Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
