KS1 Teaching Assistant - Derby - Full Time
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a graduate KS1 teaching assistant for a client school in the Derby City to join their motivated KS1 team on a full time basis. This Teaching Assistant role will start as soon as possible, with the potential to run until the end of the academic year!
The Position is to work in a single form entry primary school which was graded 'GOOD' at its last OFSTED inspection. The senior leaders of the school are seeking an interactive teaching assistant who can encourage learning across KS1 to help raise attainment across all subject areas.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work in Year 1, 2 or 3 classes as a general teaching assistant, assisting the class teacher with the day to day runnings of the classroom. They will be required to support children's learning in all areas, following the KS1 curriculum under the direction of the class teacher.
The ideal candidate will be required to run small group interventions to lower achieving children who are EAL to raise attainment in the core subject areas.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A degree in a related field
- A desire for a career in education
- An Idea of the KS1 National Curriculum
