KS1 Teacher Spalding

The Head Teacher of one of our client schools in Boston is seeking a Key Stage 1 Specialist Teacher for a full time role in a year 1 class for the full 2019 / 2020 academic year.

You will hold full class responsibility. You will motivate children and imaginatively use resources to help them learn. You'll provide a safe and secure environment for them to develop their social and communication skills, while recording and reporting their achievements.

Responsibilities

  • teaching all areas of the primary curriculum
  • taking responsibility for the progress of a all pupils
  • organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
  • planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
  • motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • maintaining discipline
  • preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
  • meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
  • providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings
  • coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • working with others to plan and coordinate work
  • keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities

Salary

The rate of pay will depend on experience, but will range between £110 and £150 per day. Term time only.

Working hours

Full time hours (Minimum 8.30am - 3.30pm)

Extra hours may be required for staff meetings, inspections and parent consultations.

Part time / job share may be considered for the right candidate

Qualifications

All applicants must hold UK QTS to be considered for this role. Applications from Teacher with all levels of experience, including Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome.

Experience and understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum is essential.
