Teaching Assistant – KS1 (SEN Support)
Location: Bolton
Start Date: September
Full-Time, Term Time Only
Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young children with Special Educational Needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team and provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
About the Role:
You will:
-
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support
-
Assist children in accessing the curriculum and developing key social, emotional, and learning skills
-
Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
-
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
-
Support with EHCP targets and contribute to progress reviews
About You:
-
Experience working with SEN children (in a school or similar setting) is essential
-
A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) is desirable
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
