Year 5 (Key Stage 2) Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, professional and motivated Year 5 teacher for a vacancy in a South Sheffield school, rated ‘OUTSTANDING’ by Ofsted!

Roles and Responsibilities

• Effective delivery of the Key Stage 2 curriculum to a cohort of 21 children between the ages of 9-10
• Planning creative and engaging lessons
• Monitoring, recording, and reporting attainment and progress
• Ensuring SEN and EAL students experience an inclusive education
• Working with senior leadership to continually raise attainment and school standards
• Be willing to contribute to the wider school culture by getting involved in extra-curricular programmes and attending school events
• Establish rapport and build trusting relationships with parents so as to maintain the integral line of communication between the home and school

The Ideal Candidate

• QTS or equivalent, DBS (Essential)
• Genuine interest in child development and education
• Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Strong leadership skills
• Experienced working with SEN and EAL students
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
• Positive, can-do attitude
