Key Stage 1 Intervention Teacher

  • Rawtenstall (BB4)
  • Part-time (Monday – Friday, 12.15pm-3.30pm)
  • £90-£135 per day
  • Start date: February 2022

Teaching Personnel have been approached by a mainstream Primary School within Rawtenstall (BB4) who are currently looking to appoint a part-time Key Stage 1 Intervention Teacher. The role will start on 21st February 2022 and will run to the end of the academic year- July 2022, with the potential to become a permanent role in the new academic year. The role consists of Key Stage 1 intervention 3 afternoons per week and PPA cover 2 afternoons per week.

The Headteacher has stated that the ideal candidate will have previously taught Key Stage 1 classes and has a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum. The school is of average size and behaviour within the school is good. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the schools strong behaviour policies and uphold the school ethos.

You will work alongside the current class teacher to plan intervention sessions for children that need support in meeting targets across Maths and English as well as keeping track of pupil’s progress. Two afternoons per week will be dedicated to PPA cover where you will follow the class teachers plan of lessons.

Due to the current situation the school will be looking to meet short listed candidates either face to face or via TEAMs

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Relevant experience teaching within Key Stage 1 who can do prepare, plan and carry out assessments.
  • A confident approach, knows how to adapt well in different situations
  • PGCE (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
