Interventions Teaching Assistant

A client school in the Firswood area of Trafford, M16, are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to join their dedicated TA team on a full time basis after the Easter holidays. The successful applicant with work as an interventions teaching assistant who will deliver reading, English and maths interventions to children across KS1 and KS2. The successful candidate will work along side the class teachers to move lower ability children on with their learning by working closely with them to deliver specific intervention sessions.

This three form entry primary school was rated 'GOOD' at its last OFSTED inspection with aspects of 'OUTSTANDING' teaching. The school are seeking a dedicated practitioner to help raise attainment across the school by working with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This primary school has high levels of EAL so the selected candidate will be required to work closely with selected children to aid their speech and language.

• Have experience working with children in a primary school setting
• Be comfortable supporting children's learning 1:1 and in small groups
• Be able to plan intervention sessions in English and Maths
