Wellbeing an Inclusion Support Assistant needed – East Cardiff
We are looking for a passionate and positive support assistant to join a small team within a large secondary school in East Cardiff. The role will be starting April 1st until the end of the academic year alongside an offer of a permanent contract providing you are successful in the role.
Teaching Personnel has been supporting a range of secondary schools in Cardiff since 1996, working with specialist teachers and support assistants. We have developed partnerships with schools across Cardiff supporting the schools with full recruitment needs in the schools. Our current partnership school has got an opening within the inclusion base of the school for someone who is looking for a career supporting vulnerable young adults.
The inclusion base of the school caters for children who struggle to cope with mainstream education and are classed as having a range of complex emotional needs. You will be working alongside a team of three other support workers who provide specialist care and academic interventions to up to 5 other pupils. You will be expected to work on a 1:1 basis with each pupil working through a support plan to help improve emotional development as well as academic.
The school are looking for someone who has a strong passion for supporting children as well as someone who isn’t afraid of difficult situations. You will be given access to a range of development training and support from both the school and Teaching Personnel.
The Role:
- Monday to Friday
- Hourly rate £10.77
- East Cardiff
- Working with secondary aged pupils supporting emotional wellbeing and behavioural needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
