A school in Hertfordshire is looking for an experienced ICT teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary to perm basis. It is expected that the required applicant will hold:

  • QTS (or an equivalent qualification)
  • A degree (preferably in ICT or a related subject)
  • A proven track record in the delivery of ICT national curriculum up to KS4.

As a member  of the teaching staff, it is essential that the required applicant will:

  • Work as part of a team, in ensuring that lesson delivery and curriculum is adequate in meeting the needs of students.
  • Be able to work with pupils on both a group and individual basis.
  • Be able to implement unique strategies, that are designed to ensure that pupils are able to remain engaged throughout the lesson.
  • Successfully differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN, as well as those requiring EAL support.
  • Deliver school curriculum, as well as ensure that tasks for homeowrk are relevant and beneficial to the overall progress/attainment of students. 
  • Ensure that students are adhering to school policy, as well as successfully managing behaviour expectations.

The applicant will be able to receive:

  • Regular training, and continuous personal development, with regards to day to day issues such as safeguarding.
  • Invaluable secondary school experience, teaching children across a broad range of ages and abilities.

The school’s location:

  • Is a short distance from Manchester city centre.
  • There are multiple public transport links within close proximity of the school itself.
  • There are numerous motorway links also close by.

Pay: GBP24,373 and GBP40,490 per year, based on previous experience. 

This position will comence in the new academic year in September 2020.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
