ICT/Computing Teacher
Tameside

Start date: April - July 2019
Contract: Full-time, Term time only, Temporary in the first instance
Salary inline with MPS/UPS

If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our partner schools Technology department.

  • Full-time, term-time only ICT/Computing teaching role
  • Pay to reflect main pay scale/upper pay scale
  • Ofsted 'Good' graded secondary school in Tameside
  • Fixed 1 term role

ICT and Computing is a popular subject at our partner school and is offered at KS3 and then as an additional option at KS4. The department is well equipped with 2 newly refurbished ICT suites and staff are passionate about giving learners a real, in-depth understanding of how computer technology work and to develop critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills.

The successful ICT and Computing teacher will be required for 1 term commencing April 2019 until the end of the academic year - July 2019. This will initially be for a maternity cover but there may be scope to extend the period of employment for the right candidate. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious teacher of ICT and Computing with the qualities to inspire and motivate both staff and students and is confident in delivering KS3 and KS4 curriculum across a range of ability groups. Experienced ICT and Computing teachers and Newly Qualified teachers are both welcomed to apply for this role.

Our partner school is a high performing Catholic high school for 11-16 year old students. Our partner school is located in Denton, Tameside a short drive from the Manchester ring road and easily accessible via Metro links from the city centre and public bus routes. The school has a high reputation for academic excellence and as a result, the school is popular and oversubscribed. The school was graded as an Ofsted 'Good' school in their most recent inspection. Not only this, but they were also judged as an 'Outstanding' Catholic school by their most recent inspection by the Salford Diocese.
