Part-Time Humanities Teacher – Bournemouth Secondary School
Location: Bournemouth
Start Date: September 2025
Working Days: Tuesday to Friday (Part-Time)
Contract: Until the end of the academic year (July)

Teaching Personnel is currently working in close partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Bournemouth that is seeking a motivated and adaptable Humanities Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a part-time role, covering Tuesday to Friday, and will run until the end of the academic year in July.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of Humanities subjects (History, Geography, and/or Religious Education) across Key Stage 3 and potentially Key Stage 4.

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.

  • Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and tracking of student progress.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and engagement.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and senior leaders.

  • Get involved in school life and contribute to a positive learning culture.


Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong behaviour management skills and a passion for teaching.

  • The ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).

  • Availability to work Tuesdays to Fridays until the end of the academic year.
