Job Opportunity: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Part Time
Location: Northumberland
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Part-time, Term Time Only
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Northumberland from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference supporting children’s learning in a friendly and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver planned lessons and learning activities across the primary age range.

Support the class teacher with planning, preparation, and assessment.

Lead small group work and targeted interventions to support pupil progress.

Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
-
HLTA qualification (or equivalent) and relevant classroom experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
