Job Opportunity: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Part Time

Contract: Part-time, Term Time Only

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Northumberland from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference supporting children’s learning in a friendly and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities across the primary age range.

• Support the class teacher with planning, preparation, and assessment.

• Lead small group work and targeted interventions to support pupil progress.

• Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification (or equivalent) and relevant classroom experience.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
