Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Durham Secondary Schools
Full time and part time opportunities available, competitive rates depending on experience.
Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support teaching and learning across a range of welcoming secondary schools in Durham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys making a real difference in the classroom and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4
- Working closely with teachers to plan, prepare and assess learning
- Providing targeted support for individuals and small groups
- Promoting positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment
You need:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Positive, flexible and proactive approach
- Genuine passion for supporting children's learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
