Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Colne
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join a well-established secondary school in Colne from September 2026. With multiple positions available, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time, long-term role in a supportive and dynamic educational environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to raise attainment and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across a range of subjects
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who require additional support
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs (where required)
  • Monitor and report on student progress and engagement
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within a secondary school setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, adaptable, and supportive approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
