We are currently recruiting Student Support Workers to work across a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Skelmersdale from September. We have both full-time, long-term positions and flexible day-to-day supply roles available.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with a variety of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop life skills, and achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Student Support Worker, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
- Build positive relationships and encourage student engagement.
- Support pupils with communication, emotional, behavioural, and learning needs.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and other professionals.
- Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
What We're Looking For

- SEN education
- Care or support work
- Youth work
- Mental health support
- Sports coaching
- Residential care
- Psychology or education graduates

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
