Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Blackburn
Location: Blackburn
Hours: Full-time (term-time only)
Temporary to Permanent (dependent on performance)

We’re working with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Blackburn who are looking to appoint a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled HLTA to join a supportive team and play a vital role in the classroom.
The Role:
-
Delivering pre-prepared lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher
-
Supporting teaching and learning across both KS1 and KS2
-
Working with small groups and 1:1 to raise attainment
-
Assisting in the preparation of learning materials
-
Providing feedback to pupils and contributing to assessment
-
Supporting the inclusion of pupils with SEND or EAL
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
HLTA status (or equivalent Level 4 qualification)
-
Experience working across KS1 and KS2
-
Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
-
A flexible, proactive, and positive attitude
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
