HLTA/1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for experienced HLTA/Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist SEN setting. This role will involve class coverage or work with students 1:1 as required, alongside the usual expectations of an LSA job role.

You will be approachable, caring and flexible with a drive to ensure that all students develop fantastic behaviours for learning. You will endeavour to encourage all students, regardless of their learning need, to be confident to tackle challenges and feel successful in their learning.

You must have previous experience supporting SEN in some capacity, alongside a working knowledge of safeguarding rules and regulations. The role is full-time and the school could employ ASAP, dependant on vetting procedures.

The successful candidate:

• Will have experience supporting children or adults with ASD
• Will be aware of all safeguarding regulations and expectations in a school setting
• Will have genuine compassion and a want to adequately support the students in your care
• Experience supporting in a school environment is preferred but not essential
• Team Teach and/or Makaton training desirable

The TA job role will involve TA responsibilities across the school and the HLTA role will include class coverage or work with students 1:1 as required.
