History Tutor

A school in Stockport is seeking a History Tutor to teach students within an online capacity until February half term. After the break, it is the hope of the school that these sessions will move into face to face sessions, providing government guidance allows this.

The role will enable the tutor:

• To work with children across a variety of ages, abilities and backgrounds.
• To prepare students for exams, assessments as well as specifically target areas where progression improvement is needed.
• To boost CV through school based experience.

It is expected that the applicant:

• Will have solid grounding when it comes to delivering History curriculum.
• Will display the necessary traits to get pupils onside, develop rapport as well as build trust.
• Can work effectively with students with a range of health needs, as well as those with SEN.
• Can communicate with school staff, provide regular feedback as well as develop strategies to motivate and inspire students.
• Has the drive and determination to positively impact students ability within the subject.
• Will act as a role model, and will be confident in using behaviour management tactics whenever necessary.
• Can deliver sessions on mainly an individual basis, though there is potential scope for small group interventions to also take place.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
